Really? I don't get the "out of his league" vibe. The sentiment I get from Riley is, to use Spike's words, not about whether he wants her or can't have her. That's a moot point now, because he's married. Riley alludes to their past relationship, but he's only using that connection to say who Buffy is and why her current circumstances don't make her any less.
