1. Earliest show you remember getting into.

Little House on the Prairie, probably, based on the stack of VHS tapes still at my parents' house, lol.

2. First anime watched.

I have yet to watch any.

3. A show you've been meaning to finish.

LOL Weeds. I am usually pretty dedicated in my binge-watching - if I start something, I usually finish it. Unless I don't like it, obviously, but I don't dislike Weeds (yet, anyway, I've heard that later seasons are not good) but I don't love it enough to be motivated, I guess? Maybe because I am just expecting it to get worse, given what people have said.

I was kind of the same way with Justified. I watched three seasons and liked it well enough, but then heard it went downhill, so I was like, "Eh, maybe I won't bother with the rest." But then the final season was apparently so awesome, so now I think maybe I should go back to it.

4. 2 shows you abandoned.

I bailed on Scandal and Revenge last year and have no regrets.

5. A series you're currently watching.

Hannibal

6. A show you're sad is over.

Lots of good shows ended this year (Mad Men, Parks & Rec) but while I will miss them, they also lasted long enough that I felt like, "Yeah, it's probably time." I will be pretty bummed if Hannibal doesn't find a new home, though.

7. Favorite series finale.

I am tempted to say Breaking Bad, although that might partially be recency bias? I'm sure there are older shows that had great finales that I'm forgetting. I just recently rewatched Six Feet Under's finale and was reminded that, while it's not a fantastic episode overall, it does have possibly the best last ten minutes of a series ever.

8. A series finale you would change.

This is a hard one to answer, because I don't think there's any show where I could JUST change the finale and be satisfied. The things I don't like about a finale are usually things that would require changing the entire final season (Buffy, BSG, Lost) or sometimes several seasons (Dexter, HIMYM) because there's clearly an arc that is building to the finale, and you'd have to go back and change the whole direction of it in order for the finale to work.

9. Worst TV program you've ever seen.

LOL I don't even know where to go with this one, because I probably wouldn't watch more than one episode if it was THAT bad. There are a lot of shows that I assume are probably awful (many of them reality shows), but I can't really call them the worst I've ever seen because I haven't actually seen them. I'm tempted to say, like, Dexter, because of how truly remarkably awful it became, but calling it the worst ever disregards how much I enjoyed the early seasons.

OH WAIT I FORGOT THAT STUDIO 60 IS A THING THAT EXISTED.

10. A show that shouldn't have been cancelled.

There are many that could go on this list, but today I'm going to say Freaks and Geeks.

11. A show that needs to end

The Good Wife, probably? Which is weird because it wasn't that long ago that it was SO GOOD, but then this last season was just bad, and they lost Josh Charles and Archie Panjabi and now I kind of just wish they'd put it out of its misery.

12. Favorite cartoon.

I don't currently watch any cartoons, but if we want to get old school, I was pretty obsessed with Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers back in the day.

13. Favorite reboot.

I think the only actual reboot show I've seen is BSG. So... BSG?

14. A TV adaptation you'd like to see

I honestly have no idea. Personally, I'd rather see some new ideas than recycling old ones for "adaptations."

15. Saddest TV moment.

Anya's speech in "The Body" kills me every time.

16. Most satisfying TV moment.

Panthers win state, FNL season 1. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

17. A character you identify with.

You know what's interesting? I can't really think of anyone I identify with in shows I'm currently watching. Not the way I identified with characters like Buffy or Caroline Forbes or Erica Strange five years ago. I don't know why that is - is it that I'm not finding characters who speak to me so strongly because those characters don't exist or because I'm less in need of characters that scream ME!! so I don't latch on?

Here's the thing, though. It used to be that I connected with characters over things like dating/relationships, being an overachiever, depression, etc. But I feel like my life has sort of narrowed down to a single point, where everything else is secondary to my health issues and I can't be bothered with the rest of it. (Haha, you thought we'd get through an entire post without talking about Crohn's, didn't you?) And that's... not a perspective you see much on TV.

18. A character that reminds you of your friend.

OMG Mindy Lahiri on The Mindy Project. It kind of freaks me out how much she reminds me of my friend Christi.

19. Favorite talk show.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

20. Sports or nah.

Nah

21. A TV world you'd like to live in.

LOL most of the shows I watch would be TERRIBLE worlds to live in, where frequently your chances of dying horribly are much higher than the real world. The Fosters, maybe? They seem like a friendly bunch.
