Me too. I rewatched the first few episodes of the show since reading the interview, and he looks so *young*! It's always nice when an actor you think is talented goes on to succeed in their career. And Susanna Thompson has also gone on to have some mainstream success with Arrow, which is hard for female actors of a certain age. The meaty roles just aren't there, most of the time.

Rewatching reminded me of some of the problems with the show as well, though. I don't know if Christopher Egan was miscast or the problem was the writing for the character, but I found David to be very...bland. David, whether the Biblical version or David Shepherd, should be compelling and charismatic. Could be the writing making him too much of a boy scout, but he didn't click with me, as a character. Your mileage may vary, of course.

I always wondered in the back of my mind what the show would've been like if they'd cast Sebastian Stan as David instead of Jack. Don't get me wrong, I think he does a great job as Jack. But he does have that elusive charisma, and so much chemistry with Ian McShane that their scenes are really interesting to watch, while the scenes with Egan and McShane are less interesting. But maybe Stan would've struggled with the character as well, it's hard to tell.

But for all that the show had its weaknesses, I'm still very sad that it was cancelled so early.
