Rory's dad receives a visitor with a letter from Rory, letting him know that he and Amy are fine, but can't ever come back, but they lived a long and happy life, and they adopted a boy, and he is the messenger so say hello to your grandson (who is, at this point, in his 60s, but for Brian, it's only a week after Amy and Rory left). It's all very sweet.
