I don't know if it was too many Christmas cookies before bedtime or what, but for some reason, over Christmas break, I started dreaming in crossover fic. And I am so bummed that I didn't write it down because it was awesome, but now I can't remember it. I do, however, remember my weird TVD dream...
It started out with a lot of people I went to high school with... IDK. We were supposed to be leaving for some kind of trip or something, but the bus took off and left a bunch of us behind, and we were kinda pissed about that, I guess, because we ended up in some sort of angry standoff via video-conference. Again, IDK.
The reason this is important is because Damon and I both ended up in the group that got left behind, while Elena was in the one that left. At which point, I discovered that I was apparently a doppelganger because I looked exactly like Elena (but I was me, not Katherine or the Original Petrova). Elena needed to come over to our camp to talk to Damon about something - it was very important, apparently - but for some reason, we thought it'd be bad if she were spotted on our side. We decided that I should lay low for a while and Elena would pretend to be me and sneak over to talk to Damon.
But before she has a chance to talk to him, a bomb goes off right near where Damon and Elena are standing. Everybody panics and runs, and afterward, a safe distance away, I'm kind of freaking out because I don't know if Damon and Elena are okay. Then Damon spots me and runs over and he's relieved that I'm okay because it seemed like I was right in the middle of the explosion, and I am trying to make him understand that it wasn't me, it was Elena, and no one has seen her. That's when I woke up, though, so I don't know if Elena survived.
It did make me think that would make a good premise - where Elena is impersonating Katherine for some reason (which... I have just been waiting for there to be a reason for that!) and something happens that might've killed her and no one but Katherine realizes it was Elena and not her. Or possibly it's just my half-baked brain spewing nonsense. Could go either way. :-P
Man, but that other dream is really gonna bug me now. I recall it was pretty cracktastic and I even thought to myself, "Oh, you have to post about that one." Dammit.
