ICON MEME!

My favorite of all the memes. :)

1. Reply to this post with "I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS MORALLY DEPRAVED BAR," and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

From [personal profile] semele:

One of the many in my collection from the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] bendy1/[livejournal.com profile] bendybendy. One of the things that cracks me up about JM is when he goes off on a tangent, sharing his DEEP THOUGHTS about what he watched on the Discovery Channel or whatever, during a Q&A with people who just want him to do the Spike accent and talk about what it's like to kiss SMG, LMAO. Never change, James. The point being, I have a lot of thinky James icons. :)

Woooo! Icon made by me! I am particularly proud of this one, because I was able to capture the hilarity and 12-year-old idiotness that is Damon/Elena. :) I literally lol'd at that scene.

One of the icons I acquired when I started dabbling in cooking, yeesh, a year and a half ago, after my Crohn's was under control enough to eat food again. I like it because cooking sometimes feels like I am doing battle, hahaha.

I love icons that combine elements of two different things I love. In this case, the quote comes from the musical Avenue Q, and I quite enjoy the juxtaposition of that question (because the typical answer is: nothing) with a woman who ended up being President.

Rory! I had never really shipped anyone in Doctor Who, until Amy and Rory. I also love that bit at the wedding when the Doctor calls him Mr. Pond, and he says, "No, I'm not Mr. Pond. That's not how it works." And the Doctor's all, "Yeah, it is." :)

Kai! If you don't know who Kai is, you're not watching Being Erica, which is a terrible shame that should immediately be rectified. Sebastian Pigott is eerily reminiscent of a young James Marsters, right down to the singing voice. Plus, he and Erica have the whole star-crossed lovers spanning space and time dealio.

Heh, this one is a quote from Johanna Mason, a character in the Hunger Games series. I adore Johanna's snark, and basically everything that comes out of her mouth. As she says, "My head doctor says I’m not suppose to censor my thoughts. It’s part of my therapy." :)

Another one from my cooking frenzy. :) Andrew and his funnel cake amuse me.

Since I spend an unnatural amount of my time talking about musicals (or singing them along with my iPod), I figured I ought to have some appropriate icons! Les Mis is still one of my favorite shows ever.

Another Bendy icon. This picture comes from a photo shoot that got posted on JM's website or something, and I'm not entirely sure why he thought that this was a good pose, but... eh. It's good for an "I'm tired" icon. :)

Lol, I actually started watching Marsters' interviews like crazy after I accidentally came across him explaining Hamlet during some fantasy convention or whatever XD. When I listen to him, I feel a bit better about my own reading too much into teen vampire shows ;).

And, OMG COOKING. For me, "comfort food" is a phrase that implies the process of cooking more often than in implies the process of eating (ok, very often it also implies both). Pure Izzie Stevens mode, I'm gonna stand here and make muffins until the world decides to fix itself.

Now I have to watch Avenue Q ;). The Roslin icon is particulary funny for me, because in Poland having a degree in history is totally not taken seriously, but our president and PM both have degrees in history XD.

Rory is my king, period. The only reason I don't ship Amy/Rory so hard is that I think that Rory should totally marry me.

Damon and Elena will be Twelve Forever!

I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS MORALLY DEPRAVED BAR!

(just with lj icons, because, as you see, I have none here)

LOL. Ok, so just a quick translation before I do it properly: the cat says "Beta it for me!", and the other one translates roughly into: "You never expect that the attack would come from the toilet", but it uses an informal word for "toilet" (I have no idea how to translate it... it's very informal, but it's not very vulgar, I can use it when talking to my mother ;) ). It's a LONG story I promise to tell in the proper post XD.

Yep, just one word :). But it's not general Polish, it's fandom slang, so if you used that word with people who aren't familiar with fandom, they wouldn't know what you mean. Fandom slang has so many borrowings from English it would probably be easier to work with for you than for an average Polish speaker ;).

It's even less formal than "loo", but I can't think of anything better. Thank you!
