You know, on the one hand, you could almost say that that's the point of The Office. That everything just goes on more or less the same, day in and day out. You show up, do your job, and go home.

Hahaha, true. But everyday life is actually pretty boring, so the appeal of the show relies heavily on the writers coming up with new ways to make it funny. And sometimes... they don't.

Oh, yeah, Angela was bizarre in S5. I kind of get the sense that the writers aren't big on consistent characterization. They'll easily sacrifice characterization for a joke.
