Something next to normal, that's the thing I'd like to try

I've actually never seen La Boheme, so I can't compare. I admit, I'm not much of an opera person, which is probably a little strange, considering my other interests. I think it has to do with the fact that musicals are closer to my talent range - one of the main joys of musicals is the interactiveness of singing along with the soundtrack, and I can't sing opera. :(
